I consider myself open, artistic, heart-driven and empathic. I've also been described as: vivacious, an idealist, quick-witted, thoughtful, and tactile - children at school often fight over hugging me at break-times, although this could also be partly because I apparently, "smell like pancakes?" I have an eclectic professional background including: Marketing, Holistic Therapist, and work with children which is both challenging, and incredibly rewarding - children are great teachers!
I love being outside in nature - walking, jogging/running along the river, or through the local woods with my excitable and incredibly affectionate dog. Cat or a dog person? I have both. I enjoy late-night philosophical and silly conversations, where you laugh until your cheeks hurt, how yoga makes me feel, poetry - "Ithaka" by Cavafy and "The Invitation" by Oriah are two of my favourites, Gibran, art galleries, the theatre, intimate concerts, brunch, words, meditation, Sunday lie-ins, spontaneity, petrichor, holding hands, proper pubs with snugs and real log fires, never tire of looking up at the stars & moon, random acts of kindness, music that makes me feel good, moves me emotionally, or just makes me want to dance(!), singing (mainly in my car/shower), and most often getting lost in a book - something heartwarming, or life-enhancing. I like discovering new things: cafes, restaurants, music, and places. I try to be a conscious consumer.
I love cooking for company, as well as going out for good food with lots of hearty, deep-belly laughter. I rarely watch TV, but do enjoy films, or a box set that makes me laugh, or think, and find TED Talks inspiring. One of my guilty pleasures includes, 'Star Wars' films.
My spirit of adventure has taken me to quite a few far-flung locations, and once, dangling off a bridge that was far too high, but there are still a few experiences left on my bucket list. The Northern Lights? Golden Triangle? Anywhere with a beautiful sunset? Join me?
